If you do not just remove the magnetic trap. The file must fall. If you can get trapped in the drain with a screwdriver or other object, until you understand and consider. Forceps or long nose pliers may be just as good. Chewing gum on a stick or some other species may also be the case.

ReplyDeleteIt all depends on what was the leak, and the size of the leak. When toilet is leaking, the pipe size 3 "or 4" pipe and drops vertically rotated 90 degrees, and extends over a short horizontal distance, then vertically again before the return, such as landfills in the main channel. If it were a bath or shower, this is a pipe 2 with a p-trap at the bottom. If there is a sink drain, then it would be a 2 "pipe with a bottom in the curve 90 degrees. A 6" file can do so through one of these offsets, it is difficult to identify objects. The magnet is a good idea if you have plastic pipes, but it will not work on cast iron pipes. If your house is on a plate, it is difficult to access your pipes. GOOD luck to you!
ReplyDeleteIt depends on how they have been reduced to some extent even. The tube is 2 ', but grab the file something on the way down?

May I think you should go through the Dain and start taking the pipes apart. I do not want to leave, it is likely to lead to a blockage in the drain. It takes years or decades away to rust.
